How to Adopt
A Meet & Greet is arranged at a Weekly Adoption Event or at our local park.
You complete a questionnaire--> Adoption Questionnaire for Dogs (PDF) This form is aimed at assisting in both finding your new family companion to creating a seamless transition for both of you.
Home Screen or Home Safety Check is arranged. This helps not only the pet become familiar with the environment (should you adopt him/her) yet also serves the family with an opportunity in seeing some aspect of the dynamic between you and the pet
Adoption Agreement and Adoption Fee* are submitted. The signed adoption agreement ensures that: if for any reason, you are unable to keep the animal, he/she is to be returned to us only. Not a friend, neighbor nor family member.
A special delivery is made! We personally deliver your special pet to your loving home.
*The adoption fee helps defray part of boarding costs, microchipping and (if) any medical expenses for that pet, we furnish proof of these services at time of adoption. We personally pay for spay/neuter, flight, drivers, etc. More on that under "About us". We have no paid staff, no donations, etc. 100% of your fee goes to pay for the needs of the animals we rescue. We are independent rescuers not associated with any organization and it is for this reason that the adoption fee is non-negotiable.
Not ready to adopt but want to help??? We're always looking for caring people to foster in a loving home. Fostering is a tremendous help as we do not live in houses with yard lots nor have access/funding for boarding. We do it all with what we have in our apartments. Therefore if you're interested in fostering, please do contact us.
